The main campus, which is also the largest, is located in the suburb of Bentley, which is in the southeast of central Perth. Accomplishments and Alumni Since Its 56 years of founding, Curtin University has had a long road of accomplishments. It was the first University of Technology in Australia. A research-intensive university, its students being the only ones in a Western Australian university who has won the Australian Institute of Nuclear Science and Engineering’s Postgraduate Student Gold Medal. In 2019, the University reported the Best Graduate Outcomes in Western Australia, with the highest number of undergraduates finding employment after graduation. In fact, 53.3% of Western Australia’s undergraduates report Curtin to be their first preference among the Universities.
