Eligibility of Stony Brook University

Below are the requirements for admission to our university for undergraduate, postgraduate, and MBA programs. Please note the specific academic criteria and standards that applicants must meet to be considered for admission. For undergraduate programs, candidates must have completed their secondary education in their home country, with a preference for a rigorous curriculum that includes courses in math, science, and English. Postgraduate programs require a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 or its equivalent. If a student has not yet completed their undergraduate studies, their admission will depend on the submission of a final transcript showing the degree and date of completion. For MBA programs, a 3.0 GPA in previous academic work is necessary for admission. In exceptional cases, a GPA below 3.0 may be considered as conditional admission to the College of Business. However, students admitted on these terms must achieve a 3.0 GPA in their first semester to continue their studies. It is required to have a minimum GMAT score of 550. However, exceeding this minimum does not ensure automatic admission, as all applications are thoroughly reviewed. The official GMAT score report must be submitted for the application process to proceed. Additionally, applicants must meet the English language proficiency requirements.
